Solving the problem.

Sometimes, I believe we rely too heavily on government intervention to solve all our problems. TANF, Food Stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, Wic, public school systems and government bailouts of private banks and corporations. Doesn’t this in some ways take away from our creativity to solve the problem on our own? Jefferson said “Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition [theirs].” I believe it does because we know that the government is going to step in and guide things. To most this means, we just sit back and let the government drive. So they decide where we go. I believe if things are going to be changed so we can accomplish what needs to be done, it is vital that the government takes a step back and the American people sit down into the driver seat for a while. No one knows better what needs to be accomplished than the people that are living their lives within society everyday. You know, that old of the people, by the people, for the people kind of thing where the people actually solve some of their own problems? We must get behind the wheels of our businesses and lives and make the choices we know need to be made and get this country moving again! On the road, people!!!!

Some tips for new computer users.

Hi, my name is ~W~ Neil and I am building samples of free web pages so my friends and guests can see what the free web page providers have to offer.
So far I have over twenty spaces with more being added almost daily. (You may want to bookmark this page.)

I am not well organized.

My sister has been drug into the computer age with a text phone and a Facebook page. I was asked to help catch her up.

The first thing to know is

There is no such thing as anonymous anything on the internet!

I recommend never using your real name or listing relationships unless there is a good reason. Absolutely no real addresses in the profile boxes.  Do not tell people where you live, work or hang out.  IT IS DANGEROUS! PEOPLE HAVE DIED! TAKE NO CHANCES!!!!

By clicking ‘I am related to this person’ type boxes any visitors to your children's web pages may now know mother’s maiden name type of information.  This can be used for everything from stealing identity to picking up your children without permission.    Please be cautious so together we can protect each other.

Next is some e-mail education.

My first suggestion is to look up the term netiquette or click this link for a basic overview.  Next, please remember that it is considered just as rude to pass out others e-mail addresses as it is to give phone numbers without permission. Therefore; I suggest using the Undisclosed Recipient method.  This is done by creating a contact list under groups in your e-mail software. Just select create group under the contacts tab or your software’s equivalent and add your recipients by checking the boxes. Name the list undisclosed recipients.  When you wish to send a mass e-mail select this list and it will not show everyone the other other person’s e-mail address.  Barring this use the Bcc: feature on your e-mail itself placing semi-colons (;) in between the recipient names with no spaces and send it to yourself.  Everyone listed under Bcc: will then get a copy without the other e-mails listed seeing each address. Then you avoid giving out your friends addresses without creating a permanent list. The purpose of this is not to enable you to send spam but to forward your info to friends and family without making them angry by passing out their info so they don’t get more spam.

Thirdly; remember this is for fun and don’t be intimidated. The people on the other end are your friends, neighbors and relatives….they love you.. or not as the case may be but all are humans or other intelligent entities and should be treated as such.  Kindly and with as much respect and love as you can muster so that together we can make the world a better place. After all, that is the kind of world we all say we want to live in. It all starts with you.

' IN GOD WE TRUST'

You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say
'IN GOD
WE TRUST ,'
The law, they say, is being violated.

Anyway, we heard proposed on a radio station show, that we should all write

'
IN GOD WE TRUST'
on the back of all our mail.

After all, that's our National Motto, and -----
all the money we use to buy stamps.
We think it's a wonderful idea.

We must take back our nation from all the people who
think that anything that offends them should be removed.
If you like this idea, please pass it on and DO IT. The idea of writing or stamping.........

'IN
GOD WE TRUST '
on our envelopes sounds good to us ..

SOME PEOPLE ARE HAVING A STAMP MADE TOO........
lets use it as our signature on e-mails, too!
It's been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, we have a very hard time understanding why there's such a mess about having '
In
God We Trust!'
on our money and having God in the pledge of Allegiance.

Could it be that WE just need to take action and tell the 14% to 'sit down and shut up'?

Welcome everyone, I am glad you made it to my Free Microsoft Office Web Site!

That's right, I got one of the first ones!

How do I get one of those? Well I couldn't tell you, yet. I signed up for this one a long time ago along with a Windows Live Office work space and was put on a waiting list. I bet if you click around you can find the sign up page.

Not only is this web sight free, I do not even have Microsoft Office on this computer.

Because this is a busness web sight I will be posting our hand made folk art and wood carving as soon as I can. I do tend to stay bussy, but there should be a slow week soon. It could happen. When it dose happen I will have to change all of this, but hay, I can do that. For now, if I can change a few pitchers, spell check, and post the address on my home page, http://Astute-Paradox.Spaces.Live.com  Fallow that link to more Free Web Pages, as soon as I find them, build a sample I can live with and post the link.

Let your customers know why they should explore your site

A business home page is similar to the front window of a retail business. Highlight your best products or services and any special offers here. Present your products or services value to browsers to get them "through the door" or deeper into your site.

Convince customers of your site's value to them

Consider what you might say to people to keep them coming back. You might mention how long you've been in business and how you show your commitment to customers. Be sure to tell visitors about your approach to business, your values, and your abilities.

It's a good idea to also post your contact information on the Home page for people who come to the site to quickly find your phone number or address.
